Microsoft Outlook Mail Client with Kerio

Setting up your Microsoft Mail Clients with GoodMedia’s Kerio Mail Server.

The Summary:

Outlook can either be set up using the Kerio Outlook Connecter for Offline sync; click here to Sync Outlook with GoodMedia’s Kerio Connect Server
OR, the account can be set up Manually, as below;

The Detail:

Incoming Mail Server = mail03.goodmedia.net on port 993 for secure IMAP, or port 995 for secure POP3
Outgoing Mail Server = mail03.goodmedia.net on port 587 or 465

In this example we are using screenshots from Microsoft Outlook (2016);

Under the File tab, go to Account Info -> Account Settings:

Choose “new”:

Choose “Manual Setup” and click the “Next” button;

Choose the “Exchange ActiveSync” option;

Add your Credentials and the Mail Server name “mail03.goodmedia.net”, then click the “Next” button;

If your Credentials are correct, the Test will complete positively;

Your setup is complete;

In this next example we are using screenshots from Microsoft Outlook (2007);

Under the Tools Menu -> Account Settings…
Use the Manual Setup;

POP3 or IMAP Incoming Setup

Under the “More Settings…” button -> Advanced Tab, Contrary to this image, Incoming server must use SSL on port 993 for secure IMAP, or port 995 for secure POP3
Outgoing server (SMTP) must also use SSL via port 587 or 465;

Check “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)”

Under the “More Settings…” button -> Outgoing Server Tab;

Confirm by using the Test Account button
